The N community is very large. The new Metanet Forums have a total membership of around 2000, while over twenty thousand mapmakers are recorded in NUMA's database.

Some of these members have gained popularity because of excellent maps and high ratings on NUMA (nevermore, for example), while others are connected to N through the sheer mass of highscores they hold (such as xaelar).

Some players are disliked by the community because they vote down good maps on NUMA, and others have been banned from the forums from flaming and behaving maliciously.
